Setup Windows and Configuration Manager – ccmcore.dll missing

I had a weird problem with a customer during deployment of Windows 7. Deployment of the image went fine but during the phase “Setup Windows and Configuration Manager” I would get the following error message: TSMBOOTSTRAP.EXE The program couldn´t start, becuase ccmcore.dll is missing.

This problem occured after upgrading Configuration Manager to Service Pack 1 and the ConfigMgr client was also upgraded. However the reference image was running the old version of the ConfigMgr client. Building a new reference image after SP1 was installed fixed this problem for me.

I have tested this twice and verified that this solution works.
